Basketball is Back: 5 Must-Watch Games for this November
It’s officially Fall, which means it’s also officially the start of the NBA season. It’s time to break out your Los Angeles Lakers joggers or your Clippers hat. Can’t get behind the LA hype? Fair enough - rep your reigning champs with a Toronto Raptors tee!
Whatever you choose to wear, we've got some suggestions about what to throw on your TV next month. November includes plenty of reunions and rematches that are sure to kick off the season with loads of excitement. Here’s our list of the best professional basketball matchups for the month:
- Raptors at Bucks: An Eastern Conference Finals Rematch
- Trailblazers at Warriors: Western Conference Finals, Take Two
- Raptors at Clippers: Kawhi Hosts Toronto
- Nets at Celtics: Kyrie’s Back in Boston
- Lakers at Pelicans: AD Returns to New Orleans
Game #1: Raptors at Bucks: An Eastern Conference Finals Rematch
The Raptors and Bucks fought it out last postseason in a series that ended up going a solid six games. This year, Kawhi might not be in Canada anymore, but don’t hide your Toronto Raptors tee just yet. With names like Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka going up against Giannis’ squad, anything could happen. Tune in on November 2nd at 8:00 p.m. EST to see what goes down. Hint: if you live in the area, it might be worth going to check out the brand new Fiserv Forum if you haven't already.
Game #2: Trail Blazers at Warriors: Western Conference Finals, Take Two
In the western half of the US, the 2019 postseason presented a quick series by Portland and Golden State. The Warriors swept the Trail Blazers, which means Portland is seeking revenge. Some guys from last year are hurt or gone, but pitting Damian Lillard and Pau Gasol against Steph Curry and Draymond Green could make for some quality basketball. This one takes place on November 4th at 10:30 p.m. EST, so get plenty of sleep the night before.
Game #3: Raptors at Clippers: Kawhi Hosts Toronto
Kawhi came to Canada, won a title, and got out. He did what he needed to do, and the people of Toronto seem to be grateful and content with him moving on. Are his old teammates, though? You’ll be able to see for yourself on November 11th at 10:30 p.m. EST when Kawhi hosts the Raptors. The Clippers are stacked, but coming off an NBA championship, it wouldn’t hurt to toss on a Toronto Raptors tee and root for our friends up north.
Game #4: Nets at Celtics: Kyrie’s Back in Boston
Sure, Kevin Durant is hurt and won’t be there to make this game even more interesting, but the way Kyrie Irving can take over a court is undeniable. It’ll be his first time back in Boston since his move to Brooklyn, and with young guys that know what they’re doing, like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, paired with vets like Kemba and Gordon, you know this one will be good. Check it out on November 27th at 7:00 p.m. EST.
Game #5: Lakers at Pelicans: AD Returns to New Orleans
There isn’t much to say here. The Lakers are going to be a force to be reckoned with this year if everyone can stay healthy, and the Pelicans have high expectations. With names like LeBron, Anthony Davis, Zion, and Lonzo Ball, we’re busting out our comfy Los Angeles Lakers joggers and setting a reminder for November 27th at 9:30 p.m. EST.
We’ve successfully lasted about four months without professional basketball, and luckily, the wait is over. Whether it’s a New York Knicks hoodie or some Los Angeles Lakers joggers, be sure you've got your favorite gear ready for the season and enjoy tip-off!
